I am a Postdoc at the Chair of Prof. Jörg Rössel, where I recently completed my doctoral degree in sociology. In my dissertation I explore different ways of advancing contested knowledge in the sociology of work. I thereby address debates on the impact of technological change on employment, the theory of “bullshit jobs”, and historical changes in the meaning of work. My doctoral committee consists of Jörg Rössel and Katja Rost.
Further, I am a member of the INVENT project, which examines the societal values of culture in nine different European countries. Within this project, I work on topics such as people’s support for European integration, the meaning of the word “culture”, inclusionary and exclusionary worldviews, and diversity in cultural institutions.
Finally, I was also selected for the Excellence Program of the UZH Digital Society Initiative, which allowed me to deal with various aspects of digital transformation during my PhD.
