Prof. Dr. Katja Rost ✝ (1976–2026) was appointed full professor of sociology at the University of Zurich in 2012. She studied sociology at the University of Leipzig, earned her doctorate in economics at the Technical University of Berlin, and completed her habilitation at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zurich. She served as an assistant professor of organizational sociology at the University of Mannheim and as a professor of management at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. Research focus areas: economic and organizational sociology.
