We are delighted to welcome Dr. Alessandra Stampi-Bombelli as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology.
Alessandra joined the team of Prof. Dr. Giuseppe Pietrantuono last month. Her work focuses on two main topics: first, on using computational linguistic methods to capture attitudes towards minority groups and ingroup-outgroup bias in language and, second, a focus on naturalization and integration and policies which can lower barriers to naturalization. A project on naturalization that she previously worked on was nominated for the Eurocities prize in 2024.
Originally from Rome, Alessandra was born and grew up in Boston, US. She is fluent in Italian, English, and French. Her interests include learning languages, traveling and reading.
Dear Sandra, we wish you a great start here at SUZ and only the best for your research!
