Congratulations on two new grants!

Two projects involving our researchers at the Department of Sociology studying generational family diversity and birth rate changes respectively have been granted research funding by the SNF and the PRC. Bravo!

Jörg Rössel

 Jörg Rössel's Research focus areas are sociological theory, empirical cultural sociology, social stratification, political sociology, and comparative historical sociology. He researches and teaches at the Department of Sociology since 2008 as an Ordinarius of Sociology.

Marco Giesselmann

Marco Giesselmann coordinates and conducts the training in data management and data analysis at the Department of Sociology. His research is devoted primarily to the impact of institutions on individual living conditions.

Katja Rost

Katja Rost's area of research is economic and organizational sociology. She is co-director of the URPP Human Reproduction Reloaded.
