Christoph Hassler is a doctoral student in Prof. Dr. Gemma Newland's team. He completed his bachelor's degree in social sciences at Philipps-University of Marburg and his master's degree in sociology at Bielefeld University. Between his bachelor's and master's programs, he worked as a student research assistant at Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart. After graduating, he worked for three years at the Institute for Inclusive Education within the Faculty of Education at Dresden University of Technology.

His research interests lie in the fields of the sociology of work, digital transformation of work, and social inequality. In his dissertation project, he is investigating the social implications of AI-augmented work.
