Online experiments – Quick? Cheap? Valid? A Conference on Online Experimental Research takes place in Zurich for the first time in November 2018. It provides a platform for the presentation of new advances and research concepts employing experimental methods in online settings. The conference will bring together established and junior researchers and scholars from across the social sciences with an interest in conducting experimental and behavioural research online.
Day 1 will comprise of two practical workshops covering basic and advanced aspects related to the use of online experiments in social science research. Participants will benefit from the extensive knowledge and experience of Felix Bader (University of Mannheim) and Philipp Chapkovski (European University Institute Florence).
The first part of day 2 features spotlight talks by renowned scholars from the fields of sociology, psychology and economics:
During the second part of day 2, researchers will be given the opportunity to present their own ongoing research.
We invite researchers at all career stages from a wide range of scientific fields, including – but not limited to – anthropology, economics, political science, psychology, and sociology to join. We welcome both participants who would like to present their own research as well as those who would simply like to learn more about online experimental research (including master’s students) without their own contribution to the conference.
