In his dissertation «Market Design for Double Auctions», Simon Jantschgi investigated how two-sided auctions work in modern financial markets and on digital trading platforms. By combining methods from game theory, mathematics, behavioral experiments and statistics, he was able to uncover new insights into crucial factors such as transaction costs in some of the most important market mechanisms, which will help to make markets fairer, more efficient and more robust.
