Janis Jäger is a doctoral researcher (PhD student) at the chair of Prof. Dr. Katja Rost. He studied sociology and political science at Bielefeld University, as well as sociology at the University of Konstanz.

His research interests include sociological theory, political sociology, and the sociology of emotions, with a particular focus on qualitative methods, social change, and diagnoses of contemporary societies.
