We are excited to announce that Dr. Antonia Velicu successfully defended her PhD thesis «All that glitters is not gold: Intersectionality and misconduct in science» last week! Her work deals with the contradiction that, on the one hand, science sees itself as a meritocratic enterprise for the production of knowledge or truth. On the other hand, complex processes of impairment of diversity, justice and inclusion as well as scientific misconduct occur, which question this image from different perspectives.
